Few Ferraris encapsulate the spirit of the marque's golden era quite so completely as the F355. Widely regarded as one of the most beautiful and rewarding driver's cars ever to emerge from Maranello, it combined breathtaking styling by Pininfarina with a level of performance and usability that set new standards for the company during the 1990s. Introduced in 1994, the F355 featured a highly sophisticated 3.5-litre five-valve-per-cylinder V8 producing 375bhp, an extraordinary figure for the period. In F1 specification, the model became the first series-production Ferrari to offer the paddle-shift transmission technology developed directly from the company's Formula One programme, marking the beginning of a new era for the marque.
